Choni completed her UD and was two legs shy of earning her RAE when she passed away.

Tavi ended her career with her CD.

About Me

I've been doing competitive dog obedience since I got my first black standard poodle back in 1975.  You'd think I'd be better at it by now!  I still have a lot to learn.  Thank the dog gods for Lori Drouin who has the patience of a saint and the knowledge of a sage.

About Me

I'm hooked on Brittanys!  I got my first Brittany, Cody, in 1981, and began attending Obedience classes with his son, Pepper, in 1996, when he was 9 years old.  Pepper earned his CD in 1998.  When Pepper was 11 years old, I got Riley, who turned 11 on 6/23/09.  Riley has earned the following titles: Conformation Championship, Junior Hunter, CDX and RAE.  I adopted Riley's half brother, Max, at age 11, in April of 2004, (11 seems to be a magic number for me and my Brits!).  In September of 2006 I got Banjo, Riley's nephew.  Banjo turned 3 years old on 7/18/09.  He earned his Rally Novice title in January 2009.   The picture shows sweet old Max lying in his bed, with puppy Banjo giving Riley a kiss.  Max is gone now, but we still feel him all around us.  I can't imagine life without my Brittanys!

Minnie, pinscher mix (25 lb), is my first and only performance dog. We have 2 legs toward our CD, but crashed & burned on our 3rd leg attempt. Trying to regroup. :/

About Me

I love to train and learn as much as I can. I was fortunate enough to attend one of Lori's seminars and learned lots! I have an eight year old border collie mix with her BN and RN, and a 7 month old Sheltie. Fun.

About Me

Chuba and Lotus are Tibetan Terriers. Chuba is 14. When I got him, I was clueless about training and just wanted a dog as a pet. I was persuaded to show him in conformation, and through that because aware of obedience. Chuba got his RE at age 10, and that's it for him. Lotus is Chuba's daughter. She is now 6. We started training monthly with Lori about a year ago, in fall of 2008, on Fridays at ODTC. I would like to take Lotus through Rally and then Obedience, as far as we can go. She enjoys training, but we have had some unexpected delays. As I become a better handler, being able to compete is getting closer and I am looking forward to it. In the meantime, I really enjoy the time training with my dog and seeing how all Lori's exercises work together. Down the line, when I get a new puppy, it will benefit from what I am learning now. My home club is DEEP Peninsula / DPDTC.

About Me

Ganetta Savoy,

Trained my Novice A dog (toy poodle) in 1992 and won Dog World Award with her. I went on to get her CDX. From there I was in love with the sport. I trained 5 more dogs to CD and 2 more dogs to CDX. I trained with Dick Russell for 2 years and he asked me to work for him. He trained me to teach pet classes which I did until Kent and I had our third child in 2004. Throughout my career as a pet trainer I offered in house board and train. My program was 16 weeks and offered a trained companion dog which performed all the novice exercises for the client both on and off lead. I have a good reputation for "fixing" unfixable dogs. I trained several poodles, 2 German Sheppard’s, 2 Catahoula Cur dogs, a border collie, a jack Russell terrier, a bulldog, several pitt bulls, several labs, a blue tick hound, I could not count how many mix breeds, several yorkies, 3 peaks, and I may not be remembering all of them off the top of my head.

In 2004 I returned to college full time and simply played with my own dogs. My last time in the ring was 2003 with Georgette the crazy mini poodle. We earned her CD and CDX. I no longer offer board and train and I do not teach classes. I do offer private lessons just for fun.

What I want to do now is train Speaks (2 year old golden) to an UD. After I earn an UD title, I'll know more about what to do toward an OTCH. I met Lori at a seminar I hosted for my club back in Aug of 2011. If you want to know anything more, please do not hesitate to ask.
