About Me

I have been showing my Shelties in Obedience for  a little over 10 years.  My first Sheltie began as our house pet and a companion. But after completing our Basic Manners class sessions when she was very young, I decided to take on Competition Obedience classes and have been "hooked" ever since! I have  gotten 2 CDX's on my 2 sable girls, a UD on the older one and am working towards a UD now with her daughter. I also have a 9 month old Merle Sheltie boy who is enjoying his foundation Obedience work very much.

About Me

I started out showing my dogs in conformation but decided I'd like to have both a smart and handsome dog. Problem is, both of those qualities are hard to find in one dog. I've been training for competition obedience for 15 yrs and I have so much more to learn. I also do Rally and tracking.  I have 3 Rottweilers and live just North of Houston TX. My dogs are part of my family.

About Me

I have 4 finished UDs (2 collies, 1 Belgian Sheepdog and a whippet). I showed a few others in utility but for one reason or another they never finished. My CDX dogs also include a 2 more collies, poodle, parson terrier and a Pharoah Hound (he was one of the dogs I showed in utility until a coursing injury). I also have bred Belgian Sheepdogs for the breed ring and have bred a number of Champions including a top 10 dog. I have two RE dogs (a border collie and the parson) and an Aussie getting ready for her RE and to go into Novice this fall. (at least I hope she's ready). I have never been one to stick to one breed and find each breed and each dog comes with it's own set of challenges. As you can imagine, I have had to come up with some of my own ideas over the years, and look forward to hearing more on this list.

About Me

I have 3 dogs: a shetie, an Aussie, and a Pom/Chi mix. All of my dogs are rescue dogs.  My sheltie, Sadie is 5 years old. She is also my first anything dog!. Sadie has her CGC, RE, and CD titles. My Aussie and my Pom/Chi also have their CGC's, but no other titles. My hope is to compete with Sadie at the AKC Obedience Classic in 2014. We need 2 more qualifying scores by June 30, 2014 to qualify. I would like to progress to Pre-Open with her but she is my first performance dog, and I have no one to train me on how to train her to get there from here. I'm hoping that this forum will be beneficial to us both.

Minnie, pinscher mix (25 lb), is my first and only performance dog. We have 2 legs toward our CD, but crashed & burned on our 3rd leg attempt. Trying to regroup. :/
