Minnie, pinscher mix (25 lb), is my first and only performance dog. We have 2 legs toward our CD, but crashed & burned on our 3rd leg attempt. Trying to regroup. :/

About Me

My first dog was a spoiled rotten Doberman.  Next I got a Weimaraner.  They say the only thing you can't do with a Weimaraner is nothing.  My Weimaraners have gotten me first into  obedience, and then conformation, hunt tests, agility and rally.  I got an English Cocker to experience training a smaller, hair-ier breed.  I also foster American Cocker Spaniels and work at a veterinary hospital.

About Me

I love dogs.  I have owned and trained nine German Shepherds.  I fell for "Rin Tin Tin" and that was it, I absolutely adore  the breed.  I started training in AKC obedience in 1971, changed to Schutzhund in 1991, and then went back to AKC in 1999.  I love to train, but hate showing in the ring.  I started every dog out as a puppy and have achieved the titles of UD, TD, Schutzhund III, and advanced German tracking.  Above all, I love the bond that develops between human and dog when we train them.

About Me

I've been doing competitive dog obedience since I got my first black standard poodle back in 1975.  You'd think I'd be better at it by now!  I still have a lot to learn.  Thank the dog gods for Lori Drouin who has the patience of a saint and the knowledge of a sage.

About Me

I have always wanted my dogs to be good family members and well behaved, so they always went through basic obedience training. Eventually I decided I wanted to do more with my chosen breed, Cavalier King Charles. My first one was a therapy dog. Now my second one has done some Conformation showing and has one leg of his beginner Novice obedience. I attended one of Lori's seminars- she is amazing! I am thrilled to keep learning and put in to practice the tips and techniques so I can refine my communication with my dog.
